A street artist plays Hallelujah with crystal glasses. The result is bliss.

Originally written by the fantastic Canadian singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen, Hallelujah achieved little success when it first came out in 1984. Apparently Cohen spent years struggling to write the song, and wrote as many as 80 verses before paring it down. Yet it only really gained the popularity it so clearly deserves after a cover by John Cale. This in turn inspired yet another cover by Jeff Buckley, the version that is arguably most loved to this day. To see why, listen to its soulful beauty below.
